Article 7: The World’s Largest Private Label Trade Show in Amsterdam
On 20 and 21 May 2025, the annual PLMA World of Private Label International Trade Show took place at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. As the world’s largest trade show dedicated entirely to private label products, the event brought together more than 3,100 exhibitors from 70 countries, as well as over 70 national and regional pavilions. It offered a unique opportunity for manufacturers and retailers to discover new products, network, and exchange ideas. SIG and Tetra Pak, members of ACE Belgium, were among the exhibitors present at the show.
Other PLMA Activities
In addition to the trade show itself, PLMA organised a series of seminars and workshops on 19 May, focusing on key topics such as sustainability and the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). These sessions provided valuable insights into how businesses can adapt to evolving legislation and respond to growing consumer demand for sustainable products.
One of the highlights was the PLMA Packaging Conference, where industry experts shared presentations on private label packaging trends, innovative packaging design, and the impact of sustainability on packaging strategies. Among the speakers was Kevin Loos, Retail & Channel Manager at Tetra Pak France and Benelux, who discussed the importance of collaboration between packaging suppliers and retailers in driving sustainable growth.
His presentation closely reflected ACE Belgium’s mission to promote low-carbon, circular beverage carton solutions. He demonstrated how cooperation across the entire value chain can accelerate the transition towards more sustainable packaging and support long-term growth in the sector.
